In February 2011, CHARITY BY DESIGN, the philanthropic division of ALEX AND ANI, launched as a modest initiative to give back. Thanks to the support of our amazing fans, it has transformed into a global phenomenon, resulting in over $46 million dollars in donations to charitable organizations in just six short years.

In Numerology, the science of numbers explaining their value and symbolism, “6″ is especially sacred. It is the number of service, community, and heart – all core elements of our brand and mission.
CHARITY BY DESIGN further embodies these sentiments through its four pillars – empowerment, health and wellness, our planet, and children – and partners through design with like-minded non profits. With 55 partnerships and 82 designs available to date, your unwavering support has changed the lives of people around the world.

Empowerment
• More than 56,000 mentor relationships funded through Big Brothers Big Sisters of America.
• More than 10,000 children sponsored in developing countries through Plan International.
• More than 7,300 athletes trained around the world through Special Olympics.
Health and Wellness
• Over 668,000 days of life-saving medicine for HIV/AIDS provided to patients through (RED).
• Over 820 cancer researchers funded through the American Cancer Society.
• Over 150 workshops sponsored through PeaceLove Foundation.
Our Planet
• More than 900,000 animals vaccinated, 165,000 animals microchipped, and 4,000 cats or dogs fed for one year through the ASPCA.
• More than 48,000 families given access to clean drinking water through Living Water International.
• More than 31,000 penguins provided with food and care through the Association of Zoos and Aquariums.
Children
• Over 7,400 children fed for an entire school year through Blessings in a Backpack.
• Over 800 families provided with mental health care through Child Mind Institute.
• Over 140 teenagers and young adults sponsored through Tuesday’s Children.
