Make more merry this season with these clever (and easy!) little ideas.

_____

1. Create a Tree of Thanks: Make a gratitude tree using found tree limbs and twigs – bare or not. Arrange in a large vase or bowl, then tuck handwritten sentiments in the branches all season long (and invite guests to do the same).

2. Think 12 Days of Fitness: Staying active makes for less stress (and a few more cookies!) this time of year. Find time for fitness and friendship by designating squad goals: Take turns with friends choosing a different fitness class or activity to do together.

3. Make a Personal Statement: Choose one standout holiday recipe – for eggnog, gingerbread cookies, crab dip, whatever – and then make it your signature dish. Bring it everywhere you’re invited to create your own delicious tradition.

4. Seek Natural Wonders: Decorate with found objects: Stack logs in a low basket, cluster pinecones in a glass jar. Near the shore? Gather driftwood and starfish for a surprising tabletop or mantle display. Add warm twinkling LED string lights to set a festive mood.

5. Make Scents: Add cinnamon sticks to a wood-burning fire to give your entire home a warm, spicy scent.

6. Enjoy the Soundtracks of the Season: Music helps shape memories, instantly transporting you back to that time and place. so make a playlist of your best moments of this year. Play it whenever you need a motivational boost. (Bonus: Check out our special “WRAP Music” playlist, a collection of holiday tunes perfect for the car, parties, and, well, wrapping gifts to!)

7. Read Together: To try with your significant other, your friends, or little ones: Warm up some cider or hot chocolate to sip on while you take turns reading aloud from a favorite book. Depending on your mood (and your circle) choose from The Gift of the Magi, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, The Snow Queen or Holidays on Ice.

8. Pitch In: Turn classic holiday music into an interactive occasion: Rent a karaoke machine and invite friends and family to sing along to seasonal tunes.

9. Display Wintry Weaves: Drape your prettiest, softest woolen blankets over sofa backs and dining chairs, use as table runners, or layer over your bedding.

10. Glow On: Transform empty wine bottles or inexpensive champagne flutes by decorating them with glitter and metallic paint, then filling them with battery-operated LED string lights. Display on bookshelves, tabletops, or along the staircase. (It’s a perfect solo DIY project or an ideal excuse to get together with the girls!) If you prefer the flickering glow of candles, check out our Candle Collection featuring unique scents inspired by five of our most popular symbols – Nautical Anchor, Scarab, Ouroboros, Phoenix, and PATH OF LIFE.

11. Seed it with Meaning: Pomegranates have deep historical meaning and tradition, symbolizing knowledge, learning, fruitfulness, and wisdom. They also make a colorful centerpiece when grouped in a shallow bowl, and last up to a month at room temperature.
