On Tuesday, March 8, 2016, members of the ALEX AND ANI team traveled to Washington, D.C. to attend the Let Girls Learn Partnership Event hosted by the Department of State. The event, held at Union Market, celebrated the one-year anniversary of Let Girls Learn, a government-wide initiative whose mission is to provide more than 62 million girls around the world who are out of school with the education they deserve.

The event, attended by press and new partners of Let Girls Learn, showcased the accomplishments the initiative has achieved in just a year’s time. First Lady, Michelle Obama, graciously thanked the audience for their support while each partner spoke about their mission. Our team also had an informational table complete with a display of the Kindred Cord Daisy, which supports the Peace Corps’ Let Girls Learn Fund.
After the event, our team visited the Peace Corps headquarters to meet with staff and present a check for $100,000 raised from our online Charity Clearance Sale. The day concluded with a CHARMED BY CHARITY Event at ALEX AND ANI Georgetown to launch the Kindred Cord Daisy. During the event, 15% of sales were donated back to the Peace Corps’ Let Girls Learn Fund.
We look forward to a successful partnership with this amazing organization.
